McNair Program Target Population Definition Form

Please identify the characteristics of prospective students who are the best fit for your graduate program. Your responses will enable the Graduate Recruitment and Enrollment Initiatives (GREI) team to filter the 2026 McNair graduate prospect database and identify the population you wish to recruit.
Timely completion of this form is required to ensure your program can participate in the 2026-27 McNair recruitment cycle. GREI cannot begin filtering records or preparing recruitment campaigns until this form has been submitted.

After submitting this form, your program representative must register for and attend the Building Your Domestic Graduate Recruitment Campaign: Leveraging National Lead Sources virtual workshop (registration link will be provided once available). This one-hour workshop is offered weekly and is a required step in the campaign development process.
    During the workshop, participants will:
    • Review and finalize the filtered McNair prospect population for their program.
    • Develop or finalize recruitment messaging.
    • Determine how records should be tagged with Program Interest following the initial McNair communication.
    • Submit the required SRM ticket so GREI can prepare, review, and schedule the campaign mailing for the upcoming recruitment cycle.
Programs that do not complete both the form and workshop in a timely manner may not be able to launch their McNair recruitment campaign within the planned recruitment timeline.

Please note: Access to McNair records in Slate is intended only for campaign development and follow-up during the designated recruitment period. All McNair records will be marked with an opt-out designation in April 2027 to conclude the recruitment cycle while preserving reporting.
